i’m dreaming of a white christmas.

A classic Aussie Christmas is not your average, storybook white one. December down under sees the mercury reach record heights and days are spent lazing by the pool while the air-con blasts inside and an ice-cold beer awaits Santa under our trees. However, in the early days of summer 2012, Falls Creek Victoria had a freak downpour of snow. This is the closest I’ve ever been to a white Christmas.

The city fringe streets lined with red brick buildings, the CBD’s heavily decorated laneways and this latest summertime snowfall has opened my eyes to the captivating landscapes and wonder this beautiful country has to offer. How lucky I am to call Australia home.

Excuse my poor iPhone photography, but gosh Melbourne, you sure are pretty…
