happy days with lazy daze.

Marie wrote a post recently called making the effort, about spoiling the people we love on special occasions and for those ‘just because’ moments too. I absolutely adored this post because I 100% agree with her! Today is CB’s birthday and also the first official occasion since we’ve been together that I have the perfect excuse to shower him with well-deserved love and treats.

We’ve both been pretty busy lately, exploring Melbourne in our free time and making a fair few trips home to Brisbane. Last week I was in Brisbane for Marie’s hens night and CB was in Byron Bay for AK’s bucks and after all of that fun I planned a quiet and relaxing weekend for us to ring in CB’s birthday week. I found the perfect package for our night away with the Melbourne Stamford Hotel’s Lazy Daze special.

The package includes one night accommodation (we were lucky enough to receive a complimentary upgrade to a king room), a three course candlelit dinner served in your room, massages, in-house movies, popcorn, a bottle of wine or six-pack of beer and complimentary parking. You also get two house robes with your names embroidered on them – a funny little luxury but definitely one of the selling points for me.

Basically, you get spoiled with relaxation and amazing food and you don’t even have to leave your room. We ate at a candlelit table for dinner in our track pants!

You’ll be able to find something on offer at most hotels suitable to your budget and requirements. It really is a wonderful way to treat someone you love, we both went home well rested and without a care in the world.

Hopefully the dinner from Saturday night will make up for whatever marvellous (read: horrendous) creation I dish up as a special birthday dinner tonight. Apologies in advance CB, it is made with love though…

  1. What a lovely treat from Frannie to CB…I too am thinking we might either eat out or get take away this weekend when you visit cos’ whatever I cook just won’t compare… You always choose the best pressies..

    • Haha I care so much about special occasions because you and Dad always made it so fun growing up! and we sure didn’t get nan’s ability to cook good meals so we might as well be good at giving presents 😉
